Dr. Ahn carried out cancer research at the National Cancer Institute and Emory University¡¯s School of Medicine. Dr. Ahn earned his Ph.D. in pharmacology at Ohio State University in 1985. He also holds two B.S. degrees in pharmacy from Creighton University and Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea

Tae Heum (Ted) Jeong, M.S.
Chief Financial Officer
Ted Jeong has been Chief Financial Officer of Rexahn Pharmaceuticals since 2002. Prior to joining Rexahn, Ted spent six years as senior investment manager at Hyundai Venture Investment Corporation, the leading Korean venture capital firm.
During his tenure at Hyundai, he managed the biotech

investment team, invested in over 50 venture companies and produced successful returns on over 15 investment projects. Ted operated two specialized biotechnology funds and fundraised a total of $50 million. He holds a M.S. in Finance from Johns Hopkins University, a B.S. in Chemistry and an M.S., specializing in Biomedical Chemistry, from POSTECH, Pohang, Korea.

Rick Soni, M.B.A.
Chief Business Officer
Rick Soni joined Rexahn in 2008 with over 20 years of sales, marketing, product planning and business development experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to joining Rexahn, Rick held several leadership roles at Otsuka America Pharmaceuticals, Inc., with responsibility for commercial development, corporate strategy and execution of licensing and acquisition of therapeutics, diagnostics and medical devices. Previously, Rick has held a variety of management positions at Novartis and Schering-Plough. Rick has a BS from University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
